Chief People Officer

We a delighted to partner with a leading client on an exclusive basis, supporting the exciting need for a Chief People Officer. The plan for 2024 is to build a stable and structured functional HR team, to support the people initiatives and strategy for the company’s vision.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working in collaboration together, the role will be a member of the executive leadership team, responsible for setting and overseeing the execution of the business’s overall people strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering the People strategy
  • Working with the HR team to focus on Planning initiatives in the respect of talent, taking into consideration the best solutions for Talent Acquisition, retention strategies and talent management.
  • Driving a focused approach to employee relations, policies and procedures, recruitment and learning and development
  • Lead and consistently assess the pre-on boarding experience aswell as the post on-boarding, working with Senior leadership teams to ensure the smooth process
  • Presenting updates to the board on key people management issues and HR performance
  • Manage the current HR team, offering constant personal development, guidance and support when required.
  • Work very closely with Talent Acquisition Manager to ensure that the organisation is an employer of choice and embedding a high performance culture
  • Plan and develop training and career development activities, working with the L&D budget for 2024, leading annual performance review process and work with Senior leaders to ensure succession plans are in place.
  • Collaborating with the CEO on the vision of the company, to present new initiatives to ensure these are met in a timely and productive manner.  Offering guidance and advice as a People professional.

Ideally CIPD qualified with experience of working with, maintaining, and managing HRIS.
