Principal – Automotive Consulting

We are seeking an experienced Principal in Automotive Consulting to join our client in their Paris office. As a Principal, you will lead strategic projects for automotive clients across France and Europe, helping them navigate industry shifts, drive growth, and adopt innovative solutions. You will work closely with senior executives in OEMs, suppliers, and mobility service providers, bringing expertise in areas such as electrification, autonomous vehicles, digital transformation, and supply chain optimization. This position requires an influential leader with a strong consulting background, strategic vision, and deep automotive industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in the automotive sector, building and nurturing long-term client relationships to drive impactful results and ensure client satisfaction.
• Project Leadership & Delivery: Oversee complex consulting engagements, managing project teams to deliver high-quality solutions across areas such as digital transformation, electrification, operational optimization, and market entry.
• Strategic Industry Insight: Provide clients with strategic insights on key trends shaping the automotive industry, including the transition to electric vehicles (EV), autonomous driving, digitalization, and supply chain resilience.
• Innovation & Transformation: Guide clients through industry transformation initiatives, from reimagining their product portfolios and business models to enhancing customer experiences through digital solutions.
• Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to help clients make informed strategic decisions.
• Team Development & Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on client impact and continuous learning.
• Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within the automotive industry, lead proposal development, and drive revenue growth through client pitches and networking.
• Thought Leadership: Enhance the firm’s presence in the automotive market by contributing to thought leadership through publications, presentations, and participation in industry events.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in management consulting or industry experience focused on the automotive sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of the automotive industry, including trends in electrification, autonomous vehicles, mobility services, digital transformation, and operational improvement.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with expertise in data-driven insights, financial modeling, and strategic diagnostics.
• Client Management: Proven track record of building and sustaining senior client relationships, delivering high-value projects, and managing complex client requirements.
• Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary projects, with skills in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Education: Master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; an MBA or relevant certifications are preferred.
• Language Skills: Fluent in French and English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Flexibility & Mobility: Willingness to travel within France and Europe as required.
