Principal / Non-Equity Partner – Technology (TMT), Europe

A fast-growing, private equity-backed European advisory firm is expanding its Technology & TMT practice across the UK and Continental Europe. Operating across Deals, Value Creation, Turnaround, and Technology-led Transformation, the firm is investing heavily in building a market-leading Tech & TMT value creation platform. As part of this expansion, we are seeking senior technology-focused leaders at Principal or Non-Equity Partner level to help build and lead capability across DACH, France, and the UK. This is a rare opportunity to join at a formative stage and shape a high-growth practice with full support, autonomy, and a clear path to equity partnership. Role Overview The Principal / Non-Equity Partner will play a central role in building the European Technology & TMT advisory offering, with a focus on:

• Pre-deal Technology Due Diligence (Tech DD / IT DD)

• Technology Value Creation across PE-backed and corporate portfolios

• Technology strategy, operating model design, and IT transformation

• Digital, ERP, architecture and infrastructure assessments

• Commercially driven technology advisory, directly supporting Transactions MDs across Europe

You will collaborate closely with senior MDs across Europe in a matrix structure, contributing to a fast-growing Deals and Value Creation platform. Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Advisory – Technology (Pre-Deal)

• Lead and deliver Technology & IT Due Diligence for private equity and corporate clients

• Assess IT architecture, systems, platforms, cyber security, scalability and capex requirements

• Partner with Transactions and broader Deals teams on joint mandates

• Translate technical findings into commercially relevant investor recommendations

Technology Value Creation

• Define post-deal value creation plans linked to revenue enablement, digital acceleration, ERP and systems modernisation

• Support portfolio companies with technology optimisation, cost reduction, performance improvement and digital operating models

• Collaborate with Performance Improvement and Operational Value Creation teams

Business Development & Market Growth

• Build and grow relationships across PE funds, corporates and technology verticals (TMT, SaaS, digital, infrastructure)

• Leverage your network to originate new mandates across Europe

• Drive cross-border initiatives alongside senior partners

Leadership & Practice Build-Out

• Help scale a new European Tech practice, shaping methodology, IP, frameworks and go-to-market strategy

• Mentor Directors and Managers as the team expands

• Support recruitment and team growth efforts

Required Experience: Background in one of the following:

• Big 4 Tech DD / IT DD

• Tier 1 Strategy Consulting (TMT / Technology Strategy)

• Technology Value Creation within PE / Portfolio Operations

• Senior IT / CIO Advisory roles within Deals

You will bring:

• Deep expertise in Tech DD, IT operating models, digital transformation or TMT sector work

• Strong experience working with private equity investors

• Confidence in business development, origination and relationship-led growth

Preferred

• Experience in DACH or France

• Fluency in German and/or French

• A network across European mid-market or large-cap PE

• Ability to combine technical IT credibility with commercial clarity
